I think pedant and j riddle have read between the lines and are shining a bit of light on her story.

It does seem far fetched on the surface of it so I can understand people’s incredulity however there may well be things she’s leaving out for legal reasons or ongoing police investigations.

I went out with a girl who had a borderline personality disorder and problems with the drink which badly exacerbated her mental issues. I could quite easily see her getting into the situation Duffy appears to have got herself into there.

An almost total inability to read a potentially dodgy as fuck situation that normal people would be thinking hang on a minute, something doesn’t feel right about this. Then add drink and drugs into it and bingo, Abdul and his uncles are running a train on you.

For every doll that had a go on Weinstein and furthered their career two steps backwards there's another one that had a ride on the the Sultan of Brunei's brother and possiibly walked away with a house and a pension. Probably a whole lot more who got less than that though.

Not saying it's right, it absolutely isn't but you make your own choices in life and I have no interest in hearing about other people's buyers' remorse.

I totally agree with Pedant. The whole Weinstein thing has opened the world's eyes to the abuse that goes on.

Her story is also very dark in the sense that someone arranged this probably on the behest of a very rich client.

If you were a multi-billionaire Arab, for example, and were also an utter cunt with no respect for anyone on the planet and you could spend a tiny fraction of your wealth on fucking the woman of your dreams - would you?

I also believe that her lifestyle at the time made her particularly vulnerable to what she claims.

It is almost like you are going the extra mile to demonstrate my point. Every single thing in your post is 100 degree proof spirit argument from incredulity.

None of the things you seem to think are unlikely are even that rare - held for long periods, decline opportunities to escape, stay silent for years. All of them much *much* more common that you think.

All you need to think is rich person, music industry, private jet. That is literally all you need to make sense.

And somewhere to go outside western Europe.

Where does the finance come from? The serious money?

Savile, Stuart Hall, Harris, Weinstein. All well known.

But the important ones aren't the familiar names, they're the ones hidden behind a production company or record label name.

Think the sheer low cunning and indifference to feeling of your average nonce and add more cash than you or I could ever hope to spend. And I can hope to spend a lot.

It reminds me of that page 3 girl Chloe Ayling rape story something just seems off even though the bloke was found guilty. Duffy's story is even more bizzare. Maybe both are true but it's one of those that you can't help but feel could be lies to extent.

If you check in at an airport with your passport is that not recorded on the airlines system?
So it could be established where she flew & with who.
If it was a fair while ago there may not be cctv footage of her in the airport that day though.

Strange that she disappeared for a month abroad and none of her family and friends raised the alarm in concern?

It would be better for her if she gives a full account of what happened which would then answer a lot of questions.

Regardless of whether it's a true account of what happened, she's clearly a very fractured person, which is sad.

The main bit that doesn't make sense to me is she has told the police, yet nothing has been done about it?
